Olive oil – such a humble
fruit oil – promoted by food
experts and medical advisors
worldwide for its
acknowledged benefits to every
part of the human anatomy –
the heart, the brain, the bones
and the bloodstream, even skin
and hair can all be improved by
this amazing liquid. The very
best of olive oils is extra virgin
olive oil (first pressed juice of
the olive fruits, with the olive
water removed).
Renowned as the greatest gift
that Mediterranean countries
have exported around the
globe, it comes as something
of a surprise to find that an
East Anglian company is an
award-winning producer of the
product - granted that the olive
farm lies not upon the gentle
slopes of a south facing Suffolk
hillside, but upon the hillsides
of the Ebro Valley in Catalonia,
Northern Spain. Tim and
Simone Pringle have owned
and worked their olive farm
there for many years, initially
selling all their olive oil in the
Catalonian markets.
